Abstract

Soft skills—communication, teamwork, adaptability, leadership, and emotional intelligence—constitute a set of essential competencies for strengthening the school climate and teacher performance in early childhood education. This article presents a proposed strategic plan aimed at developing soft skills in early childhood teachers, with the purpose of fostering more collaborative, motivating, and coherent pedagogical practices that address the current challenges of the education system. The proposal is based on a review and synthesis of theory on soft skills, teacher performance, and educational management, and is organized into operational phases: diagnostic assessment, training design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation using indicators. It is hoped that the plan will serve as a practical guide for school leadership teams and teachers who need to strengthen coexistence, assertive communication, and emotional management within the institutional dynamic, thereby promoting quality teaching and school well-being.
